Number 14 is about freedom, however, not in the same sense as the 5. The 14 lived a previous life of freedom at the expense of others. The 14 teaches us how to be free and the actual cost of liberty.

The Karmic Debt from the 14 teaches us that freedom is about understanding and operating within our limits. When total freedom comes by violating someone else’s freedom, it creates a Karmic debt. People with 14 in their basic numbers will often experience the negative side of 5. They will go through many changes in their career, relationships, and personal life with no advancement. They will pursue “freedom,” and always try to make changes in their lives to no avail. 

The 14 teaches us that with commitment and dedication comes true reward. Trying to avoid our commitments will only bring us back to the beginning of the vicious cycle. The 14 is not about bringing misery into our lives; it is about teaching us a lesson. Following through on our goals will eventually bring the desired reward.
